Раздел «Местоимения» — один из важнейших разделов грамматики любого языка и начинать местоимения в английском языке нужно уже на первом уровне изучения. В данной статье я публикую упражнения для начинающих по самым важным группам местоимений. На теоретический материал по теме «Местоимения в английском языке» даются ссылки. Упражнения на местоимения для начинающих располагаются по мере возрастания сложности и содержат только наиболее употребительную лексику.

Упражнение 1. Заполните таблицу. Выбери из списка слова, которые можно заменить на “he”, “she”, “it”, “they”.

Упражнение 3. Постройте предложения по образцу. Используйте повелительное наклонение глагола look и указательные местоимения this – эта (этот) и these –эти.

Глагол в повелительном наклонении стоит в первой форме (из словаря).

Упражнение 11. Переведите на английский язык только местоимения.

В английском языке нет местоимения «свой «. Вместо него нужно употреблять соответствующее притяжательное местоимение (мой, наш, твой, его, ее, их).

Иногда существительное ПОСЛЕ местоимения, во избежание повторения не ставится. В этом случае, употребляется самостоятельная форма притяжательного местоимения.

ПРИМЕР. This cat is hers. – Эта собака ее .

Absolute possessive pronouns
Абсолютные притяжательные местоимения

В этом разделе мы расширим наши знания о притяжательных местоимениях, изучив их разновидность, которую принято называть абсолютной формой притяжательных местоимений. Это такие формы, которые используются сами по себе, и после них нет существительных.

My father is a doctor and yours is a policeman - Мой отец врач, а твой полицейский

Как видишь, во втором случае мы уже не добавляем слово "father", поэтому вынуждены ставить не обычное притяжательное местоимение your , а абсолютное yours .

Our car is very old and theirs is new - Наша машина очень старая, а их новая
This jacket is mine - Эта куртка моя
Здесь используется местоимение mine, так как после него отсутствует существительное.

Представим полный список абсолютных притяжательных местоимений, соотнося их с основными формами. Обрати внимание на каждое из них.

На русский язык такие местоимения переводятся так же, как и обычные.

Examples:

My house is big. What about yours? - Мой дом большой. Что насчёт твоего?
His bicycle is broken down, take hers - Его велосипед сломан, возьми её
That house by the river is ours - Тот дом у реки наш

Чтобы проверить себя, подведи курсор к каждому предложению.

Зачастую эти формы употребляются в речи для того, чтобы избежать тавтологии и не повторять одно существительное два раза. Как, например: My father is a doctor and your father is a policeman .

Иногда фразы с обычными и абсолютными притяжательными местоимениями могут быть похожи по смыслу, но немного отличаться порядком слов. Сравни следующие предложения:

This is my wallet - This wallet is mine
Это мой кошелёк - Этот кошелёк мой

Is that your pen? - Is that pen yours?
То твоя ручка? - Та ручка твоя?

Абсолютная форма притяжательных местоимений достаточно популярна в английском языке. Часто можно услышать такое выражение, как "a friend of mine", что означает "один из моих друзей".

I"m in a bar with a friend of mine - Я в баре с другом

Как видишь, при переводе на русский язык оба вида притяжательных местоимений никак не отличаются, так как в русском языке не существует подобного деления. А главным отличием абсолютных притяжательных местоимений от простых является то, что после них нет существительного. Если тебе понятна теория, приступай к практике и переделай все упражнения на новую тему.
